Founded in July 2014, The Metronome Society is a collective of multidisciplinary theatre artists using music, specifically, particular albums as the inspiration for creating original plays. We gather once a month, pick albums out of a hat (literally - a HAT!) and spend the next month each writing a play using that album as a jumping-off point. Then we gather, eat delicious food, and share what we've written out loud for all to hear! Live performances of the selected plays complete with musical inspirations will be onstage in July 2015 in the Jewel Box Theatre at the Rendezvous Tavern on 2nd Avenue in Downtown Seattle.
